Everybody these days needs a great internet service. Often folks think that when they get a new TV service they have to get a new internet service. The whole bundled concept is due to some really smart marketing guys! I say get the best TV from the best TV guys, the best internet from the best internet guys and the best phone service from the best phone guys.
For most folks satellite TV is the best choice and lowest cost. (We all know that!) The home phone still around and practical for a few folks but most use only cell phones now. (The local Telco/CenturyLink, is still the best phone service provider in most cases. I can show you why!) Then it just comes down to INTERNET. The biggest challenge around here is not what is best, but what you can get. One would think there would be more choices around here. Well until things change, here are the best choices:
#1 – DSL from the Telco in your area, if the speed is adequate. We offer CenturyLink and if the speed available in your area meets your needs it is the most secure and often the best price option.
#2 – The cable company. That’s right we are very honest here and if it means sending you to our competition then so be it. Comcast here in Thurston County has very good internet service, and many of our satellite TV customers have Comcast for internet service. It may cost a bit more but may just be your best option.
#3 – Satellite internet. It is very fast now and very reliable. (Think 10 MBPS) Works anywhere you can see the spot in the sky where the satellite is. Cost is compare to the others. (Average $60/month, so a little less than Comcast) The only draw back is the amount of data you can send/receive is a lot less than #1 and #2. It is more than what most of the cellular phone companies offer and faster, but it is important to understand what the limits are. For that reason it is not really a competitive option to #1 or #2. But if you can’t get a Comcast or decent speed on DSL, then it is AWESOME!
#4 – Cellular phone date plan. This is the not as fast and most limited, service varies based on where you are standing but it is a mobile product that you can take with you when traveling. You just can’t do that with the above options.
We offer both billing plans (DISH & ViaSat Exede) and CenturyLink starts at $29.95 for standalone service and $19.95 when bundled with home phone.
